I know what you are thinking - Yes that’s my stunningly beautiful 50 years young mother and I resemble her a lot. As most of you can guess these are my engagement (ceremony that took place the night before the wedding) pictures. I had a traditional south Indian wedding almost 3 years ago. I came to US as a newly wed bride in 2013. I was really excited to move to another country even though I had never visited any before, my mother and other relatives and friends were concerned about the long distance.
My mother was very upset to find out that Seattle was 12,000kms away from India. I promised her she wouldn't miss me much and we would stay connected despite the distance and the time difference.
Initially, I used to call my mom twice everyday and we would talk for many hours. I would talk to my in-laws and all my friends. When I saw my first phone bill I was shocked and cried looking at it. Why? Because sometimes I would forget to dial a local US number before dialing the destination number with the calling cards we used to use. All those calls were considered International calls. It hurt me more than you could think it did. Yes I am very calculative when it comes to my finances, I never spend carelessly. So naturally I was super upset.
That’s when my husband got me a Comcast XFINITY Voice service which now allowed us to make unlimited International calls. Also with XFINITY Connect App, we could use up to four virtual numbers to make and receive phone calls, text messages and much more whether at home or on-the-go. Sometimes I use my tablet to call when I am at home. When I was away from home, I could still use my smartphone. Isn't that convenient and economic ?
Staying in touch with Friends and family is important and it makes us feel connected and we can talk as much as we want to without rushing into ending the conversation. It is equally important to have a way to stay connected without breaking the bank. The biggest advantage for me is that XFINITY includes landlines as well. Some of my relatives and even my grandparents live in rural areas where they still use landlines due to better connectivity. This was such a relief as the data cards only supported cell phone calls.
Try the Comcast XFINITY Voice service today and enjoy the unlimited calling for those who make a lot of international calls anytime, anywhere. I for sure can say XFINITY made my life easy :)

ReplyDeleteHi Ananya,
ReplyDeleteI originally came to your site via your Facebook and through Seattle Open Shoots S.O.S. as a photographer who is always looking for possible models. Your photos caught my eye, so I decided to snoop around your FB and now onto your website. You're indeed very attractive who is intelligent and by all appearances, fun!
I'll pass on my well wishes to you and your new husband as well, but I wanted to comment on your Comcast experience you shared. As a full time employee of Comcast (part time photo/videographer) I must admit I keep a low profile as its not very often people are happy with their service for a variety of reasons. The company is not perfect, but we do try to make our customer's experience the best we possibly can. Thank you for your kind words and sharing your personal experience. And no, I don't work in the Public Relations department. Just a passing photo/videographer...
Congrats for New life...

Good photos and post. In the initial part of the post I thought it is about your engagement. By the end I felt this is a sponsored post of the mobile you are referring to. If it indeed is, this is one of the best ways to merge the 2 subjects (your engagement and the phone). Good luck !
