Jumpsuits and rompers have taken summer fashion by storm, becoming a staple on par with the maxi dress. And when it comes to an all-in-one outfit — what’s not to love? Comfortable, stylish, and cool enough to wear on even the hottest summer days, this is one trend that’s here to stay.
Depending on the fabric and style of the jumpsuit, it’s an item that can be easily glammed up or dressed down. This was fashionable back in the 70′s but is currently back on-trend. Ladies, don’t be afraid to try one of these stylish items! There’s a jumpsuit for everyone.
- For those of you who have wider hips, opt for a jumpsuit that flares out at the bottom to help balance out your lower half. If you’re self-conscious about your tummy, look for a jumpsuit with a flowy top half that you can loosely fold over your problem area.
- For those of you who are lucky enough to have legs that go on for miles, try cropped pants. If you have shorter legs, then definitely opt for full-length pants! It’s always better to avoid any lengths that cut you at the thickest part of your calves, as this will only make your legs look shorter. Wear these with a pair of flat sandals, ballet flats or even dress them up with a pair of heels!
- For ladies whose body shape is mostly straight up and down, opt for a jumpsuit with stiffer fabric, and avoid thin, soft fabrics. Stiffer fabrics give the illusion of curves! Or use a belt tied in a bow. It’s another great way to add bulk and shape while still looking stylish!
- For girls who have wide shoulders, must opt for halters or high neck dark/black colored jumpsuits. They draw attention away from the shoulders, and focus on the neck instead. The dark color makes you look long and lean, and emphasizes your beautiful figure instead of any problem areas.
So embrace the jumpsuit; it’s a clever way to wear the same color from top to bottom, and there’s a style out there for any occasion and every body type!
