Maxi Dress is an ankle length or floor length dress usually considered as an informal wear. Most maxi dresses are form fitting at the top until/below the waistline and free flowing at the bottom. Maxi dresses come in all colors, patterns and necklines. So here are few tips to remember while you dress up in your Maxi dress.
1. Prints or Plain: If you are consciously dressing to look smaller than your size choose prints. Small to medium prints, avoid geometrical designs. Halter Neckline and wide straps are your best neck line choices, avoid strapless. For others you could choose both plain and with prints. For petite women its best to add a belt or wear something fitted around your waist so it defines your curves.
2. Height and Length: Always choose a maxi dress whose length matches you height. For women of any height make sure you don't drown in them, I mean when you wear your maxi dress your feet and/or sandals need to be seen. For not-so-tall women and those who wear flats always shop a petite size with smaller length or get the hem stitched at the bottom. Break the myth that Maxi dress is not for short women, just own the dress by choosing the right size.
3. Footwear: Two popular footwear to style your maxi dress is wither Flats/flip flops or wedges. But I say you could always experiment with heels/stilettos for a more formal look.

Ananya dear your body is perfect!1 Any dress looks ''made for you''. The problem is for ladies who are ''gol mol'' like me. No dress will hide the bums and and outlines.
ReplyDeleteThe maxi looks perfect on you.
Nice Tips!!... but it is very monotomous and can't see your face well here, the dress and cool glass takes over but I guess it feels god to wear maxi(: I always like seeing weddings in movies where the girls wears the marriage white gown, it just gives a elegant, lovely vibe(:
