Last night we were at the Seattle Gujarati Cultural Society's Navarati - Raas/ Garba event. We reached there around 9pm and people were already enjoying the garba dance. After greeting few friends I decided to join in the group for dance. Its been few years since I last did garba but I was never good at it. My friends were really sweet, they stopped dancing themselves to teach me the count and steps no matter how many times I tried I still did not get it right. Many times I bumped into those who were dancing behind me and hardly got the rhythm right. I clearly made a fool of myself but that didn't stop me from trying. I enjoyed just being there and watching everyone and trying to learn !
The last one hour was the dandiya round which I enjoy the most, because I sort of get it right :)
Over all it was a fun night with friends. We stopped dancing at 12 midnight and then clicked few nahh many pictures. Then all of us headed towards a restaurant. I am not sure what to call the meal that we eat at night 1am Midnight meal?? Late dinner? or Early Breakfast??
