Few years ago, I had heard someone say "Cooking is a good stress buster", I didn't know what he meant. He was the principal of my college, I was shocked to even hear that he did cook and he enjoyed cooking was hard to digest. How did he find time to cook during his busy schedule. I just thought it was one of those things which I would never understand.
We all have our bad days, I do have mine. A small fight or a heated argument, unfulfilled expectation or lot of work, bad weather or just a mood swing can drain me off completely. It was one such day where I felt totally uninterested to do anything. I thought eating something sweet will cheer me up.
I searched my fridge there was nothing, I was disappointed came back and sat on my sofa thinking of watching a movie. But that was not helping, I was not even in a mood to step out of the house for some shopping. All who know me, know that I don't like to COOK much, I have never been excited about a new recipe that I wanted to try out contradicting to the fact that I AM a foodie, I love to eat. Yes, I am one of those people who "LIVE TO EAT", but not cook.
But that day lack of options made the lazy me to watch a you tube video on Baking, and after watching the video thrice and unfortunately I had all the ingredients required, else that was the best excuse I would give myself for not cooking it. I carefully followed the video and even when I finally did put the pans in the oven I was skeptical about the outcome.
I finally did bake an Almond pie and coconut muffins :)
I am not that good at photography so please bear with the pictures :)
Yes it looked fine, but I had my expectations really low on the taste. I should tell you that I am trying to be modest here and yes they tasted delicious and ALMOST PERFECT.
These days when I feel low or stressed out, if I just need a distraction after my BLOG, yes blogging has become an integral part of my life in just 4 months and is my first priority. SO after BLOGGING it has become BAKING !
My life revolving around B's past few months, it was Blogging, Beauty Pageant and now.....

Deletecooking anything not only raw food items is a great stress buster. An unusual combination of veggies or cook the characters around you. Blend the most innocent with a known villain, or combine two or three characters, add some spices of lies and see the fun.
