She was a fighter, always believed she wanted to be an actor.
She ate only two meals a day, worked even at night.
She auditioned every weekend, for 4 years without any hope of light.
Finally when she did get a role, that she very much deserved based on her sheer talent.
Bloody society mocked her down saying "She just got LUCKY".
Ohh... Bloddy hell with society... Nicely done (h)
ReplyDeleteTINA
Like the swan that paddles vigorously under water and seem to glide, she has put in hard work unseen and when she got a break, the society is at its nasty best.Small but powerful.
ReplyDeleteHey KP :d your comment itself is like a small perfect fiction :) Thanks
DeleteTrue ananya! It seldom happens dat ppl appreciate real talent! If sum1 else does wat they cudnt, they blame it on luck!
ReplyDeleteONE MAN'S HARD WORK IS CALLED AS LUCK BY OTHERS...
DeleteYes.. she was lucky that she got a role for what she deserved... Else.. the lucky factor is just more than enough for spoiling her life .. :)
ReplyDeletehmmm....
DeleteGreat story, and I'm certain it wasn't just luck. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteTo hell with such society (pardon for my language). to be honest i never cares about the society .. despite being told many times the opposite .. for me society always is set of people that Accept A person Who loves To do - What he/she want to do [ results in creation of one's Identity ]. rather than the one who goes around pleasing others .. nice post :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ankur :)
DeleteNicely written!! Its always the same story with the society! Pities the struggler and mocks the successful!! :-b

DeletePeople can be so mean, and jealousy is wicked. Great take on the prompt!

DeleteThanks Mcguffy
ReplyDeleteYou hear that a lot from people, 'You got lucky' and I hate that too.
ReplyDeleteYeah Shail...same here.
DeleteOh, this is witty. Yes, "luck" very rarely has anything to do with success.
ReplyDeleteThose who had mocked your character did so out of pure jealousy. But there's no pride for proclaiming one's own achievements. I liked reading this.
ReplyDeleteWould love to read your comment on my endeavor.

DeletePpl with amazing capability to ignore back-biting and leg-pulling are those who eventually give the word "MIRACLE"... to society to be used for themselves.
